Hi:
I work in a floral department at a discount
store. Just rescued a Pygmy Date Palm from the
trash ($4). Latin: Phoenix roebelenii
Please tell me how to take care of this plant. It
is need of some tender loving care. I have the
choice of a north or south window to put it in.
Which would be best.
Is it normal for the roots to appear raised about
1 1/2" to 2" above the soil?
Please suggest what kind of potting soil mix would
be best. What about fertilizing?
Thank you in advance for the information. This is
my first time with anything except a sago palm
which is really a cycad!
