I don't know of any limits on storing cement. However,
check the bag. You may find it got moist even with the
plastic so that it is now too hard to try using.
That reminds me. I discovered one of my troughs is
disintegrating yesterday. That trough was made with a
recipe using only 1 part cement. Here in Michigan
(Zone 5), I have found 2 parts cement to be much more
durable. My recipe is now 2 parts portland cement (or
any quick set cement brand), 1 part sphaghum moss and 1
part vermicullite or perlite with a handful of
fibermesh.
