u Penstemons for troughs

Are there any penstemon species that are small enough in scale to be used in a trough?  Would they
need special protection over the winter.

Also, if anyone is a member of the Penstemon society, let me know if you got your July journal.  I
missed mine and don't know if it was actually published.
