Alchymist is an absolute thug in my garden. Try a GIANT OCTOPUS with
more than eight canes. 'Rifa is much better behaved and of course
reblooms. Brother Cadfael is so-so. St. Cecilia is absolutely
unsaintly in her non-ascetic bound for the sky and lots of blooms.
Duchess du Brabant is an oldie-but-goodie; does OK for me. WRT above, I
see Highway 290 Pink Buttons. In a bigger form, Katy Road Pink does
gangbusters as well; Belinda's Dream is also a gangbuster pink rose. I
seem to have NO PROBLEM growing gangbuster pink roses. I suffer with
the orange and yellow ones, even in my warm climate. Graham Thomas has
just come into bloom for me after *two years* in the ground.
