Hi!
I am out here! I have been watering the rose bushes I planted in my new
yard this spring and hoping all will grow nicely. I planted both full
sized roses and miniatures here. I have mapped the area and identified
all the roses that I could. I brought 10 full sized roses from my
former home and about 10 miniatures. This is USDA zone 5-6. Just a bit
milder than my old home which is 107 miles from here.
I am starting to plant some of the own root antique roses and I hope
they will like it here and survive well. The miniatures are all own
root roses. I intend to take cuttings of my non patented roses to see
if I can propagate then and make them own root so if they freeze out in
some weird weather winter I will be able to keep the ones that come up
from the root and still get the same rose that was there the year before
and not the root stock they were grafted on.
Well, let's see if we can revive this list again.
