[Rose-list] Re: Miniature roses


Heirloom OGR's sells mini's.  Louise (co-owner with husband) said
they raised miniatures for 25 years before they got into old and
English roses.  I've not bought any from them, but I've had several
from ''stores''.  Perhaps that's why I've never been pleased with
them... or perhaps I'm pruning too severely, they always seem twiggy
and get increasingly pitiful each year.

Are all mini's a bit twiggy ?  
Do you only dead-head and not truely prune these little guys ?  

Perhaps I've not given them much of a chance...
