Oops! My bad on the name of my yellow rugosa (and it DEFINITELY is a
rugosa because of those ferocious thorns and species-typical leaves -- plus
I stopped buying teas years ago) but now I'm stumped. I thought I had it
right. Since I'm at work and cannot check on it now, I'll have to look
later.
Anyhoo, it hasn't grow taller than about three feet but it has a spread of
that much, too. The blooms are a nice medium yellow, loose and blousey.
They shatter easily and have very short stems -- not good for cutting as
are most rugosas. It has a faint fragrance, but nothing to write home
about. Any guesses as to which rugosa this is until I can get home? I
know it is a fairly common one as I bought it from Jackson & Perkins.
