Dear Joanie,
This Rosefest is Bi-annual, so no Rosefest next year. Rosefest fees (this
year) were $99. for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) of 6 speakers with lovely
slides about an hour each (3 speakers each night) a lovely dinner each
night with other rose lovers, and guided tours of Heirloom that run threw
out the two days. This does not include a motel room.
The 3 day Summer Sale (Fri-Sun) is open to all and any, but does not include
all the roses they carry, just a 100 or so (still a good selection) that
they have in extra stock.
I learned this year, (I don't know if they always offer this) that you could
attend one or both nights of speakers for a lot less then the entire cost of
Rosefest.... $15 a night, or $25 for both nights... this does NOT enclude
the meals or tours, and it seemed to me that folks not even signed up for
the tours were able to get into them... So that's sounds like a great deal.
They also offered a bus tour to the Portland Rose Test Gardens for an
additional $39.
