OT & Wind Troubles

No list is perfect, and some lists have nearly all Off Topic stuff,
(that I too find annoying).  We've had a few accidental postings, and
very little OT stuff on this list.  We've been functioning well  (a
tad too little mail at times) and I do hope we can all see that a
list takes diversity of folk and subjects to make in work. A list is
at it's best when we can all jump in and have fun. 

ROSE QUESTIONS-WIND
Oh dear, another wind storm on it's way, poor roses, it's their first
winter here.  Do you think that tying a "girdle" of baling twine
about their canes would help ?  I knew I would have to close my eyes.
It's heart wrenching to watch. Course the ground is saturated with
rain water, many are wiggling about in their wholes. Ekkkk... (won't
be able to get to them till tonight). Oh, most are about 3 feet tall
with about 20 canes.  Any other ideas ?
