I grow two Gallicas here in Ann Arbor, MI.; Belle de Crecy and The
Apothecaries Rose (rosa gallica officinalis). Gallicas have a long
period of bloom in the spring, but do not repeat. Mine do mildew
slightly during the peak summer months, but this doesn't seem to
affect them. I believe they'd do fine for you.
