Hi, I am new to this group, but I am an avid lover of gardening..
Unfortune atly, we just had about a foot and a half of snow dumped on us
after a very mild December. Last summer, I planted a climber called first
prize on the south side of the house. It is now about 15' tall. Do I
prune in the spring?, Or hope like crazy it grows some more.. It is still
quite full and lovely. In outside Salt Lake City, we also have major deer
problems. They don't eat the daffodils, though. It's quite remarkable.
Also, I hung bars of lifeguard soap on my laurels and they haven't touched
them. Any advice for someone out in the cold?
Julie
