Hi Carleen:
I have one - 2 years old - HR purchased from Corn Hill Nursery, New Brunswick;
it does not climb. One neighbor has a hedge of HR, that has been in his family
for decades. He moved it some years ago from a spot in the country to his home
in Quebec City. As far as I know, none has any red in the blooms. Hope it helps,
