Re: Rosa canina


Rosa canina, the Dog Rose, is native to Europe and Britain, but has also
naturalized in some areas of America. It has single flowers of light pink,
bright yellow stamens, sweet scent, and beautiful red hips. The rose
mentioned by Carleen is probably Rosa californica, which is similar, but
native to North America. Both would do well in Chicago!
