RE: Sporting a rose

Edith,

I wondered about that also, as I know that first blooms on a rose are
not always true to color. Interestingly enough, I just bought The
Fairy and it is pink. My mother bought her and I an Austrian Copper.
Mine did not make it threw the winter, but was orange with red
streaks.
My mother's was just yellow and she threw it out, finding out later
that it really was an Austrian Copper. Oops.
Oh, these roses.

Sincerely,
