Carleen,

I have a 2nd year 'Sir Thomas Lipton', so he has only been in the ground
one year and he is 4' tall. I have topped him a couple of times to help
him bush out. All the other roses in the same bed are affected by
blackspot
but 'STL' is mostly free. He bloomed heavily in the spring and is starting
to rebloom now. Stiff and upright, he is nice and bushy, while a lot of
my other roses are starting to straggle.
I'm starting to see why disease free roses are so important.
