Patrick,
Without more detailed information, I can only take a couple of guesses. If the
holes are rough and irregular it could be caused by the wind; the leaves can
rub against the canes causing alot of damage. If it looks like someone punched
out holes around the edges with a paper punch, it's leafcutter bees. They're
good guys, it's best to just put up with it. If I guessed wrong, describe the
problem in greater detail, and maybe I or somebody else on the list can help.
