Hi, fellow rose-lovers! greetings from rainy Tokyo. let me ask you
experienced rosarian out there some weired question, The question is
" have you ever heard of an evergreen rose?"actually, my neighbour
has one (I'm in zone 9 ) . The mysterious climber has been there
for about 20 years, she has grown it from a cutting, given by a
local. The medium-sized ,fully-double antique type flowers open
white from cream-yellow buds. The foliage is dark-green,glossy and
pointed. The fragrance is light and sweet. The plant stays very well
coverd
throughout the winter, no bare cane is visible, as if it were middle
of
summer. Am I hallucinating? Thanks for listening, I'd welcome any
info. Regards and happy rose-growing!
