Right on, Valerie!  I, too, enjoy bold and brassy colors, though I do have a
small area for the quieter pastels. When people visit my gardens, I want to
see their socks knocked off (but only the socks).

The vibrancy of the colors keep me vibrant as I do the garden chores. Today
I have a full day of planting, including new roses and perennials. Those
sassy colors will jolt my energy.
