That is odd! I've often wondered if some roses are less diseased from
plant to plant IN THE SAME VARIETY! My 'Abraham Darby' did great this last
spring and it was a NASTY year from most of my roses when it came to
blackspot. I know another rose grower a few hours from me had the same
experience with this same rose. Hum...
Speaking of, my rugosa 'Topaz Jewel' (gorgeous thing, love the buds) did
have some blackspot. Go figure.
