Wow--this list certainly went from dormant to gangbusters in a hurry.
People have had questions about the baking soda formula developed at
Cornell University. It is highly effective against powdery mildew--much
less effective against blackspot and shouldn't be considered for
blackspot control in challenging (that is, wet) climates or during
periods of excessive rainfall. High humidity isn't sufficient to permit
blackspot infection; the leaf surface must be wet for at least 7 hours.
