I have both a red and a pink meidiland rose. I do very little for
either. Both are single flowered and bloom most of the summer. The red
meideland has been moved around for a bit and is finally settled at the
corner of a bank where when in bloom it is the focal point of the
garden. It cascades down the bank and looks gorgeous. The pink
meideland has been in for two years and is going on it's third summer.
It has bushed out nicely. Both are very desease free and the japanese
beatles seem to leave the red meideland alone. Neither need much pruning
except to shape them. Neither ever get covered in the winter. I live in
zone 5.
