[Rose-list] Re: Soil Condition/ Rose ID's

Sounds like a great place for the roses, Janice... and you have a
great many of them already. I love the color of Peace and the
fragrance of Mr.Lincoln and Intrigue... Graham Thomas has been my
favorite English rose for 4 or 5 years, such a beautiful dark
buttercup yellow.

Is the light yellow rose an English rose too?... like Bredon or The
Pilgrim?

The wild rose sounds like what we call dog roses here. We have three
kinds here, two with tiny black hips and one (the more common one)
with good sized orange-red hips. I've heard that sweetbriar roses
grow wild back East. Does the foliage smell like green apples?

Does it in bloom in clusters of 1 1/2 inch medium-pink, pompom
looking blooms on long canes that lay close to the ground?

Sincerely,
