Whew... I'm glad your following me now, Julie.  Sorry for all the
confusion (I do now recall saying something about "the show",
referring to the blooming of the roses).  Bother...  Besides it
wasn't a private conversion at all, and ''butting it" was actually
requested...  :-) 

I hope we can met you on the 6th of June....The old roses are usually
blooming mid. to late May, but it is too cold this year.  Hopefully
there will be more to see on the 6th of June. 

YES...Heirloom Old Garden Roses is the place in St.Paul that sells
own-root roses and has the awesome catalog that is a must have
''resource".  They have 3 display gardens (on the place) each quite
large and lovely.  They are open 7 days a week, all year -round minus
a few big holidays, but open on Memorial Day.

Heirloom OGR's also puts on Rosefest 99.  During the day John and
Louise Clements (owners and sweet folks) give guided tours of these
gardens and some of their green houses.  Neat insight... You can do
your own walking tour anytime they are open, but not all the green
houses are open to the public.

You can write me privately if you'd like about getting together.  I
nearly drive threw Portland to get to HOGR's, so perhaps I could pick
you up if you needed.  It's the least I can do...
