Re: Severe Black spot on climbers

In a message dated 97-10-28 20:04:40 EST, you write:

<< My "America" climbing roses were left unattended for the summer and were
defoliated I believe by black spot. These plants are about 3 yrs old and 6
feet tall. I am in the North east what should I do ??? Thank you very much
 in advance. >>

You should remove all of the leaves after they drop this winter. LEAVE NONE!
Or your problem will be worse next year. I control my blackspot with a
cemical spray. I have heard of environmental safe sprays but they never work
from me in the rain capital of the world.
