2X2's -Reply

Hi Lorraine,

How super! Your 30 footer sounds great. The
2X2's a foot apart using screws to secure is a
marvelous idea.

Works great in straight square patterns, but even
better in a random pattern. Wish I could draw one
on the computer for you.

The purchased lattice work 4X8s
are a waste of time and money as most that I tried
to use free standing
have collapsed within a short time.

Even attached to 2 x 2's they blow to bits in our
winter weather here. Only against the house on two
very large nails do they work (the lattice). And
when you paint your house, all you do is bend the
lattice down, paint, and put it back up. Worked
great! I have nearly every square inch of my house
covered with something (plants, roses, vines).

Where do you live Lorraine and how long have you
been gardening? What types of roses do you
grow?

For mine is just a little old-fashioned garden where
the flowers come together to praise the Lord and
teach all who look upon them to do likewise.
