Hi William; (?)
I hope that's Ok to call you William. Don't be afraid to try a Sansevieria.
I got my basic ones at the Grocery Store and Home Depot (a lumber/hardware
super store).
I started with S. trifasciata and trifasciata 'Laurentii'. Beat 'um with a
stick and they still grow. They don't like to stand in water and don't like
to get so dry that they are shriveled and dessicated.
I got my first Haworthias the same way. Now I have a modest collection of
those little joys. Haworthia attenuata and fasciata are good ones to start
with. Again, they don't like either extreme. Good luck and don't be afraid
to step out and try a plant. I always search for a good bargain to start
with, then if it dies I don't feel like dying with it.
