To Hermine, John, Jim, Juan, From Norma Lewis,
I have several plants named "Mason Congo" at this time. Several green forms
came from the Huntington, so I must assume that the names are correct. These
leaves are very wide and stiff, growing very fast and tall, pushing out the
sides of the container.
The variegated forms being much smaller in size. I understand I can take a
piece of the root of the variegated plant, and it may toss out variegated
leaves. Juan gave me the variegated plant. I have already sent a very nice
variegated "Mason Congo" to the Huntington. Does this plant go by a new name
at this time? What species is it?
