This plant looks very similar to a S. thyrsiflora I have.
I also have an S. aubrytiana which is much bigger, a slight
whitish-red edge, and a leaf pattern that has light 1/2 inch blotches.
The largest leaf is now 46" (117 cm) and 3.7" (9.5 cm) wide, with 1 or
3 leaves per growth.
The color pattern on the S. thyrsiflora is dark green with a
noticeable red edge. They have dark, wavy markings that appear almost
vertical in places, such as the one leaf you have a close up of on
your web page. It is a bushy plant with 4-6 leaves per plant. I
believe my plant is not getting enough light so the new leaves and
their petioles are considerably longer and narrower than those present
when I first bought the plant. The largest leaf is 32" (82 cm) long
with a petiole making up 20.5" (53 cm) of that length, which looks
awkward compared to the older growth. This particular leaf, though
the longest, is also quite narrow in comparison. The leaf itself is
2.5" (6 cm) wide. The petiole on the older leaves are much shorter,
some are 2" or less. .
