Re: [SANS] Norma Lewis and Steve Jankalski

Last night a thing like winter arrived on schedule, just as i had manfully
schlepped all variegated Sansevierias and others into the house, filling 2
bathrooms and kitchen so that both are almost inaccessible by humans. there
is an overflow into the kitchen. Roger is off on a mission to come back
with a safe temporary heater. we have pipes under gravel, waiting to be
filled with hot water for that GOOD bottom heat; alas, the gas heater sits
with a malady and we need to do something in a hurry which does not, if
things go wrong, result in a BIG BANG. (no propane space heaters allowed).
so i am TENSE.

I am printing out that STUFF on the grouping of Sansevierias. i was
pleased, as i read it the first time, to see that the groupings were made
according to how the plants actually look, which to me, as a
non-taxonomist, seems often ignored by real taxonomists. This multiple
posting is worthy of a thoughtful chewing and slow digestion!

Pfennig once said that he thought all spiky plants of a certain clumping or
multiple stoloniferous nature were all variants of S gracilis. ah! the
splitters and the lumpers, how I love them both!

now back to sealing every tiny hole in my laughable tropical greenhouse.
WHO TOOK THE DUCT TAPE?
