Juan, I hope you don't quit. I enjoy your erudition.
I have found the Sansevieria list rather free of discord - say compared to
fernet, where there have been several Wars of the Ferns: over plucking a small
specimen from the wild, over whether a posting member may speak of dirt (as
opposed to soil). Lately there has indeed been more discord here, and I too
hope it will pass.
We all show off, compete, argue, withdraw at times. At least I do. I'm often
trying to get on top of those states (for example, I'm trying as I right this
not to be holier-than-thou). Perhaps we are also dealing lately with how to
include expert botanists, experienced hobbyists and beginners in the same
conversation. The experts need to get their respect, and the beginners need
their info.
If I might offer a suggestion, some replies might better go directly to the
individual rather than the entire list.
