Re: [SANS] Merry Christmas!

Hi to everyone,

On 22/12/97 Crasulady asks "Why don't we hear from you more often?"

Therefore are different reasons to mention.
The first is that I don't have a computer at home, so I have to use
"time of the big boss" but he doesn't appreciate it very much.
( Of course Santa did forget me again this past year and that's
also the reason why I'm responding now, after the holidays!)
The second is I'm so terrible busy that I even almost haven't time
to eat or sleep at all, but that's a problem of all of us, I suppose
and last but not least my knowledge about Sans is very poor.
All I know comes from the article of Juan Chahinian in Succulenta
(the Dutch cacti journal), his trifasciatabook and the
succulent lexicon of Jacobsen and of course my own
experience. But as I say on my windowsills they don't course
any trouble.
That brings me to Hermine's question about Sans in the Netherlands.
Sometimes I'm thinking I'm the only who loves Sans here.
O sure, in almost every Dutch livingroom you can find a "common"
Laurentii or Hahnii, more or less as decoration but that's it! It's a
very
dull plant here most people says!
And in the greencenters (if you are lucky) you can sometimes come
across,
besides lots of trifasciata's, a golden- or silverhahnii, but that's it
too.
If you want a special ( thus a non-trifasciata) you can find absolutely
nothing there!
So I'm depending on a few little nurseries like Donkelaar, Frans Noltee
and Paul Hoogvliet.
Puh! It has been a rather long story I believe!
B.T.W. Do you know how a laurentii also is called in the Netherlands?
Tongue of a woman! ( I only can guess why! )

Greetings from the middle of the Netherlands!
