1) Hi Norma, Great to hear that you had success with germinating, but
sorry that some apparently did not survive. Hope that the remaining
ones do.
2) As I mentioned in an earlier entry, in general I have had great
success with growing from seeds. However, the seeds of S.
schweinfurthii (thanks again for sending them Norma) have stubbornly
refused to show after 8 weeks plus. I exhumed one a few days ago and
it's still sound (no sign of rot). I believe someone suggested acid
soak. I would appreciate any further details on this, which I may try.
3) The seeds of my FKH 424 are now almost ripe and I will send to Yale
Sedman who asked for them. Sorry, not enough for anyone else!
4) I was envious of mention of seeds of 'koko' and will write Ed Eby
asking for some, but again beg anyone who has access to information on
seeds to please let me know. I really will appreciate it.
