In a recent Cacti_etc entry Juan Chahinian spoke of the invalididity of
a S. socotrana attributed to Lavranos.   On a related subject, a friend
gave me a small plant of a species that he described as Sans. lavranos.
Is this a valid species and what's the background to that one.
