Re: [SANS] T'pau and a little off topic

This is known locally as "SPOCK IN HEAT" yes, and....

Well I was taken by the remarkable resemblance of
>T'pau (Celia Lovsky) to Norma Lewis.

people need to be able to harbour there secrets!

and yes, we were all aware of the various plants used to depict foliage in
distant places!

i have thought of a column somewhere in which I review moves ONLY on the
plant content. many times i have screamed THERE IS A SANSEVIERIA! in a
crowded theatre.

The good news is, now that the heater is blasting away in the nursery, i
can see what did truly perish, and i am relieved to say, it was GOOD for me
to hurl the variegated things into the house, but even then some Bantels
Sensation bit the dust, and so did manolyn...however these are gettable for
mere money. the ones i was truly horrified for, were the unnamed collected
plants, or plants grown from seed from distant places...things nobody else
every wanted enough for me to propagate. and i believe i will save most
everything. (collapses with relief).

I will be doing a death inventory as soon as i get to pruning out dead
material, which I MUST do. but i am calmer.

what i did not mention is I lost most of my own crown of thorns hybrids.
since NOBODY bought those, i have lost big shapely plants..they are hybrids
of hummel hybrids back crossed to native Madagascan things. some had
crests. grrrrrrrrrr. also my codaeium or Croton collection seems too
dilapidated for me to observe, and my AROIDS! OY! (pulling out hair)

but i will issue a plea for help on the aroid list.

Thanks for your kind reply, you-all!
