Re: [SANS] Various

I did go to the Huntington and spent 4 hours copying by hand the information,
all of it, from their card files. I also don't have all day to fool around
with the Sansevierias
and when I have the time I will gladly make a list for someone to keep as a
copy.

I am currently working on my own interest, and anyone that is interest would
be more than welcome to come to the Huntington Gardens and offer help to John
Trager who at this time has a full plate. Unless you walk in our shoes don't
judge, I'm not made a Steve at all, but I have other considerations other
than his interest.

All of my information is second hand, I have just contacted a very nice man,
who has been collecting this species for years, as I found out his name while
I was copying
the information off the index cards. Do any of you remember Jim Mcconville?
This
is possibly another contact for the group, he may even have more information
to add,
I think it is very important for all of us to contact people that have been
growing the species for years. Books, references, dried material I would
think can go just so far, then we must dig in and do the work ourselves.
Picking the brains of others may be the way to go.

Allan, please understand, I have been teasing Steve, and I think he was
teasing me,
he is doing a lot of research for the group, and I'm sure we all appreciate
it. I think
American sense of humor comes off a little differently than British, and can
never figure out what you Brits are laughing about the tele, again I think
Cal. humor may be different from the Eastern part of the country.

I glad that you would pitch in with an article once in a while, I will also
ask all the people that I know if they will help. I do not write well, and
don't know the subject at all, so I would be a dud. With respect to all,
Norma Lewis
