Re: [SANS] SANSEVIERIA IN INDIA - NOTES

Norma, Steve and all,

The Journal from India is a classic and has been around for many years.
It comes from Lucknow, India and it is, at best, a mediocre work.
All plants shown there, including S. patens, have been taken from N.E, Brown
and other existing works.
The only new information that it brought, and quite correctly so, is that
planting sansevierias in clayey soil is beneficial for them.
If anybody wants a copy let me know. I'll gather the orders and do it.
Sansevieria patens N.E. Br. (complete name) was first described in Brown's
monograph and there is where one should look.
Cheers,
Juan
