Hi John;
I certainly do recognize your name from both the Gloxinian and Gesneriphiles.
Thanks for the help IDing my Moonshine. That tweaked my memory. It was
indeed S. 'Moonshine' Is that a variety of trifasciata? I have a friend in
the local Violet Society and the Gates Cactus society that I may be able to
obtain a cutting of bailyii for you, if you like. It has semi-cylindrical
leaves with quite a sharp point at the tips and is a small grower. It sends
out nice stolons, and is an interesting plant.
It's too bad there isn't an Orchid List (or is there?) I joined the Local
Orchid Society, last night. I figured that if I'm going to try to grow a few,
I might as well find out as much as I can.
It hasn't yet rained up here in the Mountains, OOOO!!!! there is a bit of sun
just now.
It's cloudy off and on, and chilly. Where in California is Woodside?
Have a really good day :-)
Aneita
