Dear Norman,
I believe we've already gone down this road before. Its matching up the
living plants with the collection numbers and their origins. By
documentation, I mean everything and anything you can find out about the
plants, either in a written log at HBG, HBG collection numbers, the origin
of the plants, who collected them, their collection number, etc., etc. It's
whats on the index cards and the rest of what was not in the HBG print out.
Its the who, what, when, where, why and how. A simple list of names is not
documentation because it does not explain the history of the plant. I
thought Gary might have given you some idea of how to get the information.
You see what I provide as documentation, the rest of the story is from the
collections and nurseries on your coast. Be it HBG, Grigsby, Manny Singer,
or whoever was responsible for introducing these plants. Some of the key
players have passed away and the trail is quickly growing cold.

Okay, here I go again, explain it like you would be talking to a 6th
grader,
I don't really know how to go about getting the information you would like
or
what do you really consider documentation, is location data needed? Alice
Waidhoffer has a complete record of the plants, in a book, with pressed
inflorescens included, she has not given that to us at this time. Is this
what you are looking for? Norma
