Hello everyone,
I'm new to this list, and my interest is in sansevieria cylindrica. A few years ago, I got a very crowded 10-gallon pot full of the plant. I planted the biggest chunk of it in a 1/2 barrel with potting soil, and lots of little pieces in other smaller pots. Then this last spring, I put the contents of 1 pot into the ground in a place that gets daily irrigation, and is covered by a shade-cloth ramada. The plant has had greater growth there than anywhere else with thick green tusks 1 to 2 feet long.
My dilemma is that the danger of frost is coming. Should I dig it up? Or should I build a little wigwam around the plant? Other plants did survive last year in sheltered places here in Tucson. Rob
