I am a collector. I began to collects sans around 14 or so years ago, but
had to liquidate my collection in the process of moving to start grad
school, graduate, become a psychologist, etc. I am now re-building my
collection. I have around 30 something--though I just rotted a golden
Haunii. They are spread out some at my office, and some at home. Office
has huge window but northern facing.
I was very happy to find this list and want to say what a privilidge to
communicate with some of the luminaries of the sansevieria world.
I would love a copy of Morgenstern's book, although I do think Hermine's
book (not boob) from 1983 is excellent as is Juan C's book. It would be
nice to have color pictures of more species, though. I would like to obtain
copies of the Sansevieria Journal if anyone has any extras. Juan, do you
have any left?
Do people want to post pictures of their collection? I'm afraid mine is
still in the "starts" stage, but would love to see other's especially where
weather or greenhouses permit them to grow huge.
Also, I know of 3 mail order places in the US, (Endangered Species, The
Glasshouse Works, and a place in Pennsylvania owned by a man named Smoley
the name of whose business I can't remember) are there any more anyone would
share the names of?
So long for now.
