[SANS] Sansevieria arborea ???

While browsing through some books for a few things I came across a
section on Sansevieria in Succulents and their cultivation by
Margaret J. Martin & Peter R. Chapman. Amongst the plants they
mention Sansevieria arborea and say " is an epiphytic plant with a
creeping rhizome and long pointed leaves, and should be of interest
to growers who collect epiphytes. It presumably needs damper
conditions than the other species".
Anyone heard of this Sansevieria there is nothing that I can find in
Brown or any of the Sansevieria journals nor Hermine's Book.
Could it be arborescens but not what I would describe as an epiphyte.
IN flower now Sansevieria sp. PF 1056 the flowers smell of cocoa like
kirkii var. pulchera. Has PF1056 been described or been given a name
yet?
Also in flower is parva ex. Reading collection thick rubbery
leaved type a strong perfume the same as the other parva's.
While I am on I have been over to see Roy Mottram at Whitestone
gardens and asked about Morgensterns book. He was asked to be the UK
distributor when they came out but turned it down as there was next
to no interest in them at the time. He says there were only about 100
books and this included those in German and English. In the last ten
years he has only seen two books come on the market. Some of the
books have poor colour pictures as well. He is keeping an eye out for
any copies but says there are probably only a handful of books
still surviving. I have also put out a book search with three german
book search engines. Don't hold your breath but if anything turns up
I'll post it on the list. Then you can all fight over it / them :-))
