Here is a listing of all the books available on Sansevieria and their
culture that may be found in libraries or available through book dealers,
particularly those who specialize in succulent plants.

anonymous (1959) SANSEVIERIA. National Botanic Gardens, Lucknow, India.

It gives botanical descriptions for 45 Sansevierias, some of which are the
same as in N.E. Brown's
monograph.  It includes horticultural descriptions of 19 species of
Sansevieria grown in the National Botanic Garden, a few pages of care info
and about 5 pages of line drawings and cross sections of leaves.


Brown, N.E. (1915) SANSEVIERIA. A MONOGRAPH OF ALL THE KNOWN SPECIES (WITH
PLATES). Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

The only thorough treatment of all the known species of Sansevieria.
Contains useful information on how to identify 54 species.


Chahinian, B. J. (1986) THE SANSEVIERIA TRIFASCIATA VARIETIES. Trans Terra.
Resenda, California.

An excellent thorough listing of the cultivars of Sansevieria trifasciata,
including detailed information on cultivation.


Cutak, L. (1966) ALL ABOUT SANSEVIERIAS. Missouri Botanical Garden
Bulletin. volume 59 no.6, reprint.

An informative illustrated booklet on Sansevierias grown at the Missouri
Botanical Garden. Includes information on culture and new cultivar
'Bantel's Sensation'.


Morgenstern, K.D. (1979) SANSEVIERIAS. Kempten, Germany.

A book with information on culture and richly illustrated with photographs
of plants grown in Germany.

Informative but short lived journal with information on everything
concerning Sansevieria.
