Hi,.
The picture shown by John is definitely not S. aubrytiana. It does not have
the pronounced petiole the picture depicts. S. sp. 'Mason Ghana'
distributed by Grigsby is definitely not S. aubrytiana.
A sansevieria has been found in Java, growing in the wild by Dr. Heitz, and
was given to me (alas! lost in my moving). The plant looked like S.
zeylanica. The information given by N.E.Brown is somwhat old and his
statement should be verified.
The S. javanica in cultivation seems a small form of S. zeylanica.
Cheers,
Juan
