Hi.
I was out of the country and just came back. Trying to catch up with my mail.
I have planted leaves of S. trifasciata 'Forescate'.
I always got albinos.
I also tried the "bridge method", that is, removing all the tissues
horizontally at the bottom of the leaf (where it would touch the soil),
leaving only the edges to touch the soil. This way only the green edges were
in contact with the soil and any roots and subsequent growth would be formed
from these edges.
Well............I got nothing for more than six months. Finally the plants
would die. This was in California four or more years ago.
