Hey Sansevieriophiles,
There was a discussion of the little known Madagascar endemic Sansevieria
sambiranensis Perrier just over a year ago.
This link may refresh ones memory:

It was assumed that this rather choice species was known only from the
original collections made by Henri Perrier de la Bathie in 1909 and that
nobody has found it since. Neither Werner Rauh nor John Lavranos have
relocated the species in the wild.
While searching through Missouri Botanical Garden's Tropicos database, this
much more recent collection appeared: Madagascar (Antsiranana) Manongarivo
RS, 1000 m., 14.02 S, 48.17 E, July 2 1987, Pete Phillipson 2023 (MO). Now
is that just another dried herbarium specimen or are there live plants of
the collection? At least, we now know this species is not extinct.
