It occurs to me that the Cactus and Succulent Journal of Great Britain is
probably not easily available to most of you. The article I mentioned in
Vol. 41(3) 56-60 (1979) mentions the following species
pinguicula (NE Kenya)
arborescens (East Africa)
robusta (East Africa)
powellii (East Africa)
kirkii (Mombasa to south of the Usambara Mountains, the home of the African
Violet)
singularis (Kenya)
gracilis (East Africa)
suffruticosa (Kenya)
cylindrica (Angola)
schweinfurthii (Eritrea)
sulcata (Comoro Islands and east coast South Africa)
volkensii (near Mt Kilmanjaro) - close to if not identical with intermedia
zeylanica (Ceylon)
trifasciata (Nigeria)
senegambica (the former Senegambia, whatever that is now - either Senegal
or Zambia)
parva (Kenya)
dooneri (Kenya)
caespitosa (South West Africa)
conspicua (Kenya)
raffillii (Kenya)
grandis (South Africa?)
There was a sequal promised for this article, but because of the
amalgamation of the new British Journals at the time, I don't think it ever
appeared.
