It may not be legal now, but at once time the tattooed Japanese, the
Irezumi, sold their skins while alive to collectors who would come and get
it after it was no longer any use to the owner. i have seen photographs of
such skins, some mounted rather loosely on a wooden form, others like pages
in a book. my husband ran screaming from the room. Now the western world
seems a bit squeamish about all this, but the one thing we (the Irezumi)
all say, especially after a mutual admiration festival is, we are going to
make one helluva corpse!

Some of my favorite dead things are in the Smithsonian. In the Walter Reed
medical section. It is very difficult to get a friend to go there with you!

I am sorry to say that althugh I have orchids and some bamboo, some peonies
and other flowers on me, i have no Sansevierias. but then again, i am not
complete.
