EE-Link, your Link to Environmental Education resources on the Internet, is
pleased to announce the launch of EE-Link Update, a monthly newsletter which
will highlight some of the new resources being added to the EE-Link site.

EE-Link is updated daily and provides a vast array of resources for the EE
Professional, Educators, and Students of all ages seeking information - from
Capacity Building to Sustainable Development to activities for Earth Day!

Creative Uses of Nature in Education

Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education (CAEE), April 25-27 - Snow
Mountain Ranch, Winter Park, Colorado. The 2003 CAEE Teaching Outside the
Box Conference will provide an opportunity for participants from a variety
of backgrounds to come together to share experiences, learn new techniques,
and network while focusing on the environment.



ZEST Environmental Science Teacher Training

July & August 2003 at Olympic Park Institute. For formal & nonformal
educators (grades 3-12) designed to provide the tools to teach enviro topics
in the classroom and conduct field science studies.



Annenberg/CPB Channel Teacher Education

Free televised workshops, courses, & libraries in mathematics, science,
social studies, literature, & educational issues. Earn certificates that may
be used for in-service & re-certification credit. Graduate credit is also
available at reasonable cost.

EPA EE Regional Youth Programs

President's Environmental Youth Awards (PEYA) recognizing young people
across America for projects that demonstrate their commitment to the
environment.



Nature of Learning Startup Grants

A new community-based EE initiative seeking to use National Wildlife Refuges
and other natural areas as outdoor classrooms. Grants up to $5000 to support
start-up expenses. Application Deadline: June 30, 2003



CAPCO Science Class Challenge

Participate in the CAPCO Science Class Challenge and win $500 to $5,000 for
your school. For grades 4-9, the competition is meant to encourage students
and teachers to learn about the Earth's protective upper ozone layer, CFCs,
and the environment by using provided activities or their own creative
methods. Deadline: June 6, 2003

Journey to Planet Earth
