Dear NCAP members,

NCAP warmly invites you to participate in "Taking Back our Food, Farms and Playgrounds." This exciting and educational conference will be NCAP's annual meeting for 2000 and promises to be a gathering where you can learn from the wisdom of experienced activists and bring home strategies and enthusiasm for the challenges that lie ahead.

Sunday afternoon, NCAP's board will meet immediately following the end of  "Taking Back our Food, Farms and Playgrounds." You are welcome to join us for this meeting as well. If you would like to meet with NCAP staff and board during the conference, please join us for dinner Saturday night  - a table at the conference center dining hall will be set aside for NCAP.

Full Conference Registration    US$200.

Friday Evening Commuter         US$25.
Saturday Day Commuter           US$65.
Sunday Day Commuter             US$45.

Included in Conference Fees
Full Conference Registration includes conference registration,
materials, Friday and Saturday overnight accommodations, and meals;
and for individuals, includes membership in OCA, PANNA and PW.
Commuter rates include conference registration, materials and meals.
Meals include: Friday, reception; Saturday, breakfast through
dinner; Sunday, breakfast through lunch.

Partial and Full Scholarships
Scholarships are available for travel to limited numbers of

Conference Site and Lodging
Mount Alverno Conference Center is a 26-acre retreat located in
Redwood City between San Francisco and San Jose, 20 minutes from
either airport, featuring panoramic views and adjacent hiking and
walking trails. Mount Alverno offers limited, on-site housing
accommodations on a first come, first serve basis. Overflow
accommodations will be provided at a pre-arranged off-site location.

Conference Meals
Conference meals will be prepared using organic foods whenever
possible. Vegetarian options will be available at every meal.
