Hello,
I am a horticulture agent for Utah State University, working in Salt Lake
County. I would like to find some curriculum for horticulture directed at a
junior high/ high school age group that would provide some job-training as
well as critical thinking skills. Our youth corrections facilities here in
Utah would like to incorporate gardening into their programs. I can see
that the ideal curriculum would be incremental, bilingual (English/Spanish),
focused on 'hands-on' activities, and pertinent to real-life job skills. It
would be great if such a program could be used as a certification program.
Does anyone out there know of a similar program already established?
I appreciate your input.
